The FWDA is EXTREMELY honored to have 3 Current Members 1 past Member & 2 local tournament players participating in the big International Event held May 16-18 at the Mohegan Sun Casino, Conn. Well, Who are they? Our very own: Davis Snider, Scott Wollaston, Ron Parent, Our Past Member-Donnie Strode III (FWDA-1988 ADO Youth National Champion)and Michael Rountree who plays area tourneys and sponsors several FWDA players And Dieter Schutsch, too! I remembered that a Bethel Aka "Donnie" commented on our site about the ADO Regional in March, so I went back to check...when I discovered that Ron Parent's draw for Friday on Board 3 is the same guy... Donnie Strode. How strange is that coincidence? 258 players from all over the world, and 2 players who share a common thread...FWDA roots and Youth National Competitors... Ron played for the Youth National Title and was Runner up in the early 90's. Donnie played for the same in 1988. Wow!!! That is really cool that 2 of our past youth players and played at different times and do not know each other and cross paths. Too Cool!!! It says on the player profile that Donnie is 36. LOL, HOW old is Ron? Late 20s?
